The Venue

Mickleover Memorial Hall is one of 24 Fit Derby’s most popular venues because of its great, central location. We have a lot of Mickleover clients and they love being able to walk here. Classes are always busy and consequently there’s always a great atmosphere. There is a stage, which is always a bonus because it’s much easier to see the instructor and there’s a sprung floor, so this venue is kind to your knees.

24 Fit Derby run classes for everyone at Mickleover Memorial Hall that include Zumba, Zumba Gold, Konga, Pound and Fitness Pilates.

If you’re looking for exercise classes in Mackworth, Allestree, Littleover, Heatherton, Hilton, Sinfin, Sunny Hill, or Normanton, then Mickleover Memorial Hall is within just a 10 minute drive from these locations.

The Great Northern Railway built a station here in the 1870s as the village expanded under industrialisation. The line closed to passengers in 1939 and completely in 1968.

Pastures hospital, which closed some years ago, was once The Derbyshire Pauper Lunatic Asylum. It opened in 1851 and here for the first-time patients from all over the country were treated kindly and given proper care.

It is alleged that Oliver Cromwell stayed at the Old Hall in Orchard Street when he stormed Tutbury Castle.

Today, Mickleover is a busy community with a hotel, a large Tesco, a filling station, and many other shops.
